River Boardwalk - Williamston

Yesterday, I highlighted the Red Cedar River rapids in Williamston. Today, I want to show you the boardwalk and surrounding area.

This is the boardwalk. The rapids are on the other side of the railing.



There is a small picnic area where you can sit and watch the river.



There used to be a mill where the rapids are now. The old millstone was incorporated into the walkway.


Here is a closer view of the millstone and the plaque. I am glad they were able to preserve the millstone.






This is a view of the boardwalk heading west by southwest.



This butterfly garden is near the millstone.
