Winter Walk - Williamston

Sarah and I took Piper for a walk this afternoon. It was a beautiful walk with a light snow.
It is a good thing the sign is there.

The geese and ducks found a little open water.

The Red Cedar River is mostly frozen.

River Trail - Lansing

We had our first substantial snow yesterday and last night. It was only about three inches, but it is nice to finally see some snow on the ground this winter. I took a walk along the Grand River on the Lansing River Trail during lunch. Here are a few shots that include some snow!

Reflections - Lansing

I was walking under the Shiawassee Street bridge along the west side of the Grand River yesterday when I saw something in the water I have never seen. On closer examination I realized it was a reflection of the underside of the bridge. I guess the sun was at the perfect angle to create the reflection.

Holiday Decorations - Lansing

Here are a couple of photos of one of the larger than life holiday decorations in Downtown Lansing.

Judging from the size of those ornaments, I think they are going to need a bigger tree!

Sign - Lansing

I was walking down Ottowa Street in Downtown Lansing a few days ago when I spotted this sign. I could not resist stopping to take a photo. It looks like it should be on Diagon Alley.

Right To Work Protest - Lansing

Today was a sad for Michigan. The Republican majority in the legislature forced through Right to Work legislation in order to weaken the Unions. It did not happen without a fight. Here are some scenes from around downtown Lansing.
